Huge European clubs interested in relegated Premier League star

Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan are interested in signing Salomon Rondon, according to reports.

Salomon Rondon is quite the intimidating striker to play against. Despite his mature and kind personality, the current West Brom star has quite the physical nature about him, making him difficult to defend against.

Particularly in the Premier League, this is a huge asset for a team. Clubs battling at the bottom of the table tend to adopt a rough nature on the pitch, as more often than not they don’t have enough quality players to compete against the big dogs.

This is also the case for teams across the globe, although there are only a few standout top clubs who adopt such a nature. Atletico Madrid is one of them, but they go about their business in a much more controlled manner than the likes of West Brom.

They are rumored to be in contention for signing Salomon Rondon, although they will face competition from Inter Milan. West Brom need to cash in on their star players, as they look to rebuild for their EFL Championship campaign.

The news has arisen from Sky Sports, who report that a less favorable West Ham will be lurking around the situation. New manager Manuel Pellegrini will be interested in linking up with his former striker.

Of course, if you were the Venezuelan striker, you would favor a move to either Inter Milan or Atletico Madrid, presumably Atletico.

He will certainly suit the style that Diego Simeone adopts, although he will face the heaviest of competition in Diego Costa and Antoine Griezmann.

The two Atletico stars have formed quite the partnership, so it will be difficult for any striker to come between this. That said, it will be even more difficult for a relegated star to come in and solidify a place at a club like Atleti.

Inter Milan won’t be much easier, although it would be helped by Mauro Icardi’s supposed move away.

If he were to be sensible and think about playing time, then Rondon would surely choose West Ham. He is familiar with English football, and more importantly, working under the new manager in Pellegrini.

He will come as a huge loss to West Brom, but it’s what they should have expected. He would certainly help in their quest back to the Premier League, but he is far too good to be a Championship player.
