Arsene Wenger put an end to his legendary run as the Manager of Arsenal F.C  at the end of the 2017-18 season and has been on a sabbatical since then.

After enjoying nearly 22 years at the helm of the London club, Arsene Wenger decided to step down as the Manager of Arsenal.  Albeit towards the end of his Arsenal career, he was faced with heavy criticism, the most prominent one being “Wenger Out”, its fair enough to say that he earned a Legendary Status while at the club and is considered as one of the best football coaches in World Football.

In a recent interview, the Frenchman reiterated the fact that he’d return to football in 2019. This has raised eyebrows all over the world and everyone is guessing Wenger’s next move. Let’s have a look at 6 possible roles that he may take up come 2019.

1. Real Madrid – Manager

Arsene Wenger has been deemed the perfect replacement as Real Madrid’s manager. Real Madrid sacked Julen Lopetegui after their disastrous El Classico trashing against arch-rivals F.C Barcelona. Real Madrid had failed to earn a win in their last 5 La Liga matches and have lost 4 out of their 10 league matches. Appointing Santiago Solari as their interim manager, Madrid will be looking to bring in a world-class full-time manager with a winning mentality.

A team like Madrid is well suited for Wenger and he just might be able to do wonders with a team comprising of young talented players like Isco, Asensio & Mariano while also getting to coach Karim Benzema, a player he has tried to sign for Arsenal before.

After all with a well established and experienced team like Real Madrid, Wenger’s chances of winning the UEFA Champions Leauge shoot up. Despite the likes of Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino having been thrown into the running to take over at Los Blancos, Wenger’s appointment cannot be overlooked.
