After this performance, it’s clear that Arsenal like to pick and chose which games they will fight in and which games they will put no effort into.

Before the international break, Arsenal pulled back a 3-0 defeat to West Ham and took home a point after a very convincing second-half performance, but last night’s display showed no desire or will to fight back and get back into the game.

Liverpool have surprisingly struggled this season against a lot of different teams, but people seemed confident in Arteta’s side getting something out of it.

In the reverse fixture towards the start of the season, Arsenal’s mistakes cost them the game, and this time, it was the lack of creativity going forward and the lack of passion and fight shown by any individual on the pitch.

The performance certainly angered the manager, whose post-match press conference showed how disappointed and frustrated he was with the overall performance.

“We have to put our head down, take all the shots and the criticism because we deserve that,” expressed the boss, whose current win percentage as Arsenal manager sits below 50%.

The players showed no desire to win the ball back, with Liverpool confidently winning duels, whether on the ground or in the air and the Gunner’s were fairly punished by Klopp’s side who edge closer to the top four.
