Real Madrid players continue to recruit Neymar

Momentum grows for Neymar’s move to Real Madrid

Real Madrid currently sit ten points behind Barcelona in the La Liga table and it’s clear Zinedine Zidane’s squad is searching for answers. Per the players, the most popular answer is to openly recruit Neymar to make a sensational return to La Liga.

The latest Real Madrid player to speak openly about a move for Neymar is midfielder Dani Ceballos. The 21-year-old Spanish midfielder hasn’t been at the Bernabeu for that long, but he realizes his club needs more talent to compete. That’s precisely why he recently revealed to the press that he would “open the door” for a Neymar transfer.

It’s not as if Ceballos is the only member of Zidane’s squad to go on record with that belief. He’s simply following in the footsteps of his captain. Sergio Ramos has already told the Spanish press that he wouldn’t have any hesitation in welcoming the former Barcelona star.

It’s fair to wonder whether or not the Real Madrid players would feel differently if they were ten points clear of Barcelona. It’s only natural for players to look outside their own club for help when they’re struggling to achieve their usual level of success. Real Madrid are certainly struggling to meet their own high standards at the moment.

Neymar’s tension-filled departure from Barcelona also adds to Los Blancos’ willingness to bring him into the fold. Most fans acknowledge that his relationship with Lionel Messi was troubled at the very least. The two achieved a lot of success together on the pitch, but never seemed to be that close off the field.

Some players might be put off by the prospect of dealing with a diva like Neymar, but the Real Madrid squad already has significant experience handling big egos. Cristiano Ronaldo might be the one player on Earth who thinks more of his own talents than Neymar does. Adding the prolific Brazilian to Zidane’s star-studded locker room wouldn’t drastically change the dynamics of the squad.

PSG fans should be very concerned. With every Real Madrid squad that comes out and asks the club to pursue Neymar, the chances of him leaving France climbs and climbs. Him moving to Real Madrid this summer looks like more of a real possibility every day.
