Tottenham vs Liverpool: Projected Reds XI against Spurs
Probably one of only a few positions that truly pick themselves at the moment for Jurgen Klopp, the first choice goal keeper is certain to be Simon Mignolet as summer signing Loris Karius remains sidelined with a broken hand.
Migs has been decent this season with a strong penalty save against Arsenal, but letting another four goals in between Arsenal and their loss at Burnley is not good enough.
To his defense he was not really the one at fault for being hung out to try at Turf Moor last weekend, but he will have to be on his best form against Harry Kane and Spurs attack.

<p>The former Southampton charge continues to make his positions his own for the Reds and only an injury is likely to see a change.</p>
<p>Clyne was impressive against Arsenal, but much like the rest of his team was unimpressive against Burnley.</p>
<p>Hopefully once again a top quality team will bring the best out of him.</p>

<p>Dejan Lovren is set to continue on the right side of the defense as he still looks the most consistent of the Reds defenders since Klopp took over last season.</p>
<p>He is expected to have a new partner once more as Klopp continues to work to overcome injury setbacks in trying to find his best choice first pairing.</p>
<p>Although Lovren has mistakes in him, he has started to show he is more than up for top competition.</p>

<p>Having only had limited preseason time, Matip is expected to make his Premier League debut in the Reds third match of the season.</p>
<p>He is expected to be the other half in the main defensive pairing for the Reds and he will be looking to bed in and impress from the beginning.</p>

<p>Alberto Moreno continues to be left out in the cold at the moment after a horrendous display against Arsenal.</p>
<p>It shows the club’s real lack of depth at the position with James Milner the favorite to start on the left side of defense.</p>
<p>If the Reds don’t get to work in the transfer market soon, it is certain to make many ask the question as to why Brad Smith was sold this summer.</p>

<p>Adam Lallana is expected to answer the call once more from the right side of the midfield as he is going to be part of the hardest working side of the Liverpool attack.</p>
<p>Lallana and Clyne tend to work well together as they push the ball forward and should continue their strong showing match after match.</p>
<p>He is also going to be expected to do a job defensively as his box to box mentality will be called into play by the Spurs front line.</p>

<p>Injuries to both Lucas Leiva and Emre Can see Jordan Henderson once again likely to be named at the anchor of the Liverpool midfield.</p>
<p>Not a traditionally defensive mid, Henderson seems a bit out-of-place when he is not able to push more forward in the attack.</p>
<p>The Captain could be one of the spots that the hosts try to exploit without Can to be there to clean up any messes.</p>

<p>Klopp is expected to continue to show faith in summer addition Georginio Wijnaldum.</p>
<p>The former Newcastle man is starting to show promise and understanding with his new teammates and he will be hoping to see the Tottenham match be the one where he rises to the occasion.</p>
<p>Having popped up with an assist on opening day against Arsenal, many will be looking for him to get into his attacking groove against the Gunners fiercest rivals.</p>

<p>The Senegalese attacker is set to retake his place on the right-wing as he will be looking to create space and chances for Daniel Sturridge with his pace.</p>
<p>Mane already looks like the most important new signing for the Reds this season and another strong showing against Tottenham will only increase that belief.</p>

<p>Although the story all week has been his unhappiness with his positioning, Daniel Sturridge is almost certain to lead the line against Spurs.</p>

<p>Having scored two goals off the bench in midweek he is likely to have gleaned a little confidence boost.</p>
