Ansu Fati is more like a box to box player but his ability to score goals from difficult positions makes him a deadly option. The 18-year-old has shown great character and has tried to play his natural attacking game. Fati can deceive the opposition with his pace and dribbling. The striker scored 4 goals in 16 La Liga games in the 2019-20 season.
Fati has lots of years in his hands to develop himself and playing with some of the biggest stars will only help him mature as a player. Fati is one of the finest upcoming stars who can dominate the sport for many years.
Semedo is known for his bold and aggressive tackles which can ground the best attacks. The 24-year-old is a clever operator with his interceptions and his awareness to shut out any attacking move. The former Benfica FC player can turn out to be a scoring option during set-pieces. The Portuguese can win the ball from the opposition with his intelligent movements.
Semedo will add enough width in Barcelona’s defence. It will be a learning curve for him while playing alongside Gerard Pique and his fine playmaking skills will provide Queque Setien with more options.
Frenkie De Jong is normally a midfielder but the enterprising star can play offensively as well as defensively. De Jong can change his game as per the situation of a game which is one of his biggest strengths.

The midfielder has showcased his intelligence at the flanks and is a destructive operator inside the box. Although De Jong scored only 2 goals in 26 La Liga games in the 2019-20 season his creativity and clever one-touch passes are effective during the run of play. Aerially De Jong is a deadly operator because of his destructive headers.

De Jong is a keen learner and playing with the likes of <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2020/05/19/5-young-players-lead-barcelona-success/2/"https://fbref.com/en/players/d70ce98e/Lionel-Messi?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-%22 target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Lionel Messi and <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2020/05/19/5-young-players-lead-barcelona-success/2/"https://fbref.com/en/players/a6154613/Luis-Suarez?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-%22 target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Luis Suarez will make him technically sharp. De Jong’s reach and fine shooting abilities make him a threat during aerial duels and set-pieces. De Jong’s presence has surely added more fluidity in Barcelona’s midfield. It will be a unique experience for the youngster which will make him a complete player in the future.

4 Ousmane Dembele

The Frenchman started his career on a bright note but was out of action due to fitness issues. The 22-year-old can pose a challenge to any side with his speed and powerful runs. The forward is a penetrative option on both sides of the flanks. <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2020/05/19/5-young-players-lead-barcelona-success/2/"https://fbref.com/en/players/b19db005/Ousmane-Dembele?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-%22>Ousmane Dembele is a smart mover during set-pieces and his ability to score goals can’t be undermined.

Dembele’s co-ordination and teamwork with Ansu Fati can do wonders for the Catalans’. The Frenchman could play only 5 games in the La Liga last season scoring just a single goal but the ambitious striker will be keen to make his mark in the next season.

5 Ronald Araujo

<a href=https://playingfor90.com/2020/05/19/5-young-players-lead-barcelona-success/2/"https://fbref.com/en/players/2bef2bca/Ronald-Araujo?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-%22>Ronald Araujo is another star waiting to unfurl his talent. The 21-year-old hasn’t played in any big league but the defender will be the one who might attract the spotlight. Quique Setien needs to give him enough match time at least while playing against some lesser-known opponents.

<a class="next-slide-btn" style="background: #0" data-track="shortcode" data-track-action="next-slide-shortcode" href=https://playingfor90.com/2020/05/19/5-young-players-lead-barcelona-success/2/"#"> Next: Arsenal may look elsewhere to replace Aubameyang

Araujo is a player who can keep the ball in possession with his clever movements but his ability to win the ball from the opposition is more of an added feature. The Uruguayan has got the quality to excel at the highest level but it will need some polishing. Playing for Barcelona will give the former Boston River player a much-needed push which will prepare him temperamentally.
<!—pageview_candidate—>">
