2. Timo Werner
Timo Werner appeared to be Liverpool’s main transfer target at one point in time and it was clear to see why. There were many pull factors that attracted Jurgen Klopp to his countryman.
Werner is the type of player that can pretty much guarantee double figures in goals and/or assists, as he has done so in Germany. This is something which the Liverpool attack prides themselves on, as they have dominated some of the best teams in the world courtesy of their hungry nature.
Werner is also a very versatile player and he can play essentially anywhere across the front-three. This makes him an attractive proposition to Jurgen Klopp since the main downfall in the squad is the lack of cover they have in each of the three attacking positions. Werner would provide that.
It’s also an added bonus that Werner is nowhere near the prime stages of his career yet he has proven capable of playing at Europe’s highest level. He is just 24 years old, meaning he is still some time away from his peak. Should Liverpool sign him, there would be plenty of time for Klopp to mould him into the player he so wishes.
Marcus Thuram</a>, the 22-year-old French international that plays for Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.</p>
<p>Thuram is the son of the formidable French legend <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2020/04/21/3-players-replace-sadio-mane-liverpool/2/"https://fbref.com/en/players/643ca22c/Lilian-Thuram?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-%22 target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Lilian Thuram</a>, who is proudly the most capped French international of all time. Like his father once did, Marcus possesses a lot of frightening traits.</p>
<p>Thuram is a tall player which means he tends to be very good in the air. This is great for Liverpool since they don’t have many tall players available to them in the attack.</p>
<p>However, the Reds would not need to neglect their lightning-quick philosophy which they are infamous for since Thuram has shown a collection of pace bursts during his time in the Bundesliga, so he would be a terrific candidate for the opening.</p>

<h3>1. Jadon Sancho</h3>
<p>Now, this one seems like more of a dream signing for Liverpool but it’s certainly plausible.</p>
<p><a href=https://playingfor90.com/2020/04/21/3-players-replace-sadio-mane-liverpool/2/"https://fbref.com/en/players/dbf053da/Jadon-Sancho?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-%22>Jadon Sancho</a> appears to be within the £100m range, which is far too expensive for a non-essential player especially given the current climate of the transfer market. However, should Sancho be turned into an essential player for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, then the story is different.</p>
<p>Besides, if Liverpool does sell Mane then they will raise enough funds for the deal to go ahead, anyway. He would be a direct replacement and one which can provide a more stable future to the Liverpool attack.</p>
<p>Sancho has experience of playing in England, albeit very little. He was raised in the Manchester City youth academy before moving to the Bundesliga, where he has really honed his craft.</p>
<p>Ageing at just 20 years old, Sancho is the youngest of the bunch but you couldn’t tell. He has provided the goals and assists for Dortmund this season (17 goals and the same number of assists, to be exact).</p>
<p>Sancho is a proven goal scorer and assists provider; to reach such figures at a young age is truly remarkable and it’s for this reason that Klopp may wish to consider signing the youngster if Mane becomes unavailable.</p>
