If you haven’t been living under a rock these past few weeks then you would’ve heard about the rumors that Real Madrid want to sign Chelsea FC forward Eden Hazard.
Real Madrid are being strongly linked with making a world record bid for Chelsea FC Belgian maestro Eden Hazard.
Former players and current pundits alike have come out either saying he will leave or stay.
Ex Chelsea FC German midfielder Michael Ballack has recently urged Hazard to stay at the Blues next season.
“Hazard did not have a good season last year and sometimes you don’t really know what happens to players.
“But it seems to be that he’s a bit of an emotional player who needs support and needs to feel really comfortable with the coach and the team and in his private life as well, so that he can perform.
“I’m pretty sure if he moved to Real Madrid he would have to fight for that standing again and it would take time because he’s a bit of an introvert.”
Ballack believes it would take a few years for Eden Hazard to establish himself at Real Madrid and reckons he would be better suited staying at Chelsea next season.
Well myself and millions of other Chelsea fans also hope he will stay and here I will give 5 reasons why Eden Hazard will stay at Chelsea FC.

5. His teammates

Hazard is friends with the majority of the Chelsea squad players including his good mate and Belgian teammate Michy Batshuayi.

Hazard is good friends with the Belgian striker and even though Batshuayi has struggled for game time this season, he still appears to be one of Hazard’s best teammates.

Having good friends like Michy around would keep Hazard happy to continue at Chelsea FC.

Hazard is often seen in Chelsea FC training ground videos mucking around and laughing with his teammates, especially Michy. But he’s also good friends with Willian too.

The saying “don’t fix what ain’t broken” applies here. Hazard has literally no reason to join Real Madrid apart from the prestige. But Chelsea will be competing for the Champions League next season. With one or two additions to the squad there’s no reason why Chelsea wouldn’t be considered a world-class prestigious club.

Hazard will stay and continue the banter with his Chelsea teammates.

4. New and improved contract

Chelsea FC are set to offer Eden Hazard a new and improved contract in order to ward off any other teams like Madrid from poaching their player.

Hazard is already Chelsea’s highest earner on £200,000 a week but <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2017/04/06/chelsea-fc-5-reasons-eden-hazard-will-stay-blues-next-season/"https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3222684/eden-hazard-new-chelsea-contract/">reports suggest Chelsea FC could offer a staggering £300,000 a week to keep him at the blues for the foreseeable future.

Hazard’s current deal expires in 2020 but Chelsea FC will extend that for a further two years along with bonuses on his £100k-a-week pay rise.

It would be hard for the 26-year-old Belgian ace to say no to that deal. He would be among the top earners in world football.

This would add to the prestige value of being at Chelsea and there would be no reason for Hazard to leave if Chelsea are willing to fork out that much money for him to stay.

It shows to him that they highly value him as a key part of their team and would boost his confidence.

Hazard, I believe, is a confidence player. I mean Ballack touched upon it when he said Hazard was an ’emotional player’ but I believe Hazard plays best when he has confidence. Unfortunately last season Mourinho shattered that confidence and we all saw what happened to him then.

3. Manager Antonio Conte

Eden Hazard likes Chelsea manager Antonio Conte. Antonio Conte likes Eden Hazard. It’s a match made in heaven right.

Chelsea have been in unstoppable form under manager Antonio Conte and Hazard <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2017/04/06/chelsea-fc-5-reasons-eden-hazard-will-stay-blues-next-season/"http://metro.co.uk/2017/02/21/eden-hazard-antonio-conte-has-given-me-my-best-moment-at-chelsea-6462718/">believes that the Italian has also helped change the atmosphere at the club after their bleak and grim season under Jose Mourinho.

‘It is always a difficult to come back after a bad season, but the boss changed something and tried to give us more confidence.

‘This is the best moment for me at this club since I’ve been here. I’m happy.’

Hazard also <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2017/04/06/chelsea-fc-5-reasons-eden-hazard-will-stay-blues-next-season/"http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/03/12/eden-hazard-antonio-conte-fantastic-privilege-play/">states his admiration for the manager:

“Fantastic manager. He gives the spirit to the team. Of course, we have worked a lot and hard. But if that’s the key to winning games, we will work hard. For me, it is a privilege to play with this manager, and I hope we can achieve something together.

It’s crucial for a players success that he is happy. And it’s crucial that a player likes their manager to gain that happiness. Eden Hazard has been successful this season because he’s happy.

There is no reason to risk losing that happiness at his age to go to Real Madrid. Perhaps in a few years? Maybe. But not next season.

Additionally, he’s happy that he’s been given a new position by Antonio Conte. Hazard is now playing in a central role where he has freedom to roam. Much like Mata’s old position. The number 10 role suits Hazard and his link-up play has been superb with Pedro and Costa.

“I am more central now. I like it when I am in the middle, I am closer to the ball. The manager wants me to pass, to make assists, create chances and I do more because I think the position is more central and I don’t ask all the time for the ball at my feet.

The change of position proved to be a masterstroke by Conte and it could prove to be a contributing factor as to why Hazard will stay. Hazard will want to continue in this role and he feels important to the team.

If Hazard went to Real Madrid, he would likely not be given the number 10 role and he may even have to sit on the bench in some games. Real Madrid have Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema up front. Where does Hazard fit?

If Hazard goes to Real Madrid he risks becoming another James Rodriguez who clearly has talent but sits on the bench in every game for Real Madrid.

Antonio Conte has also <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2017/04/06/chelsea-fc-5-reasons-eden-hazard-will-stay-blues-next-season/"http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/786052/Antonio-Conte-Chelsea-Roman-Abramovich-Eden-Hazard-football-transfer-news-gossip">stated his admiration for Eden Hazard and said he’s priceless.

2. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich

Roman Abramovich has always wanted Chelsea to be a lively, attractive attacking team. But for some reason he re-hired Jose Mourinho despite Mourinho’s past insistence on defensive football. But, in essence the Russian billionaire has always wanted Chelsea to be an attacking team. That is why coaches like Andre Villas Boas and Carlo Ancelotti who were known for attacking football were given chances at Chelsea.

Now, my point is, Abramovich will simply not want Hazard to leave Chelsea FC as Hazard provides Chelsea with the attractive beautiful attacking football that Roman so deeply desires. If Hazard were to leave, Chelsea would lose one of their main attacking threats.

<a href=https://playingfor90.com/2017/04/06/chelsea-fc-5-reasons-eden-hazard-will-stay-blues-next-season/"http://metro.co.uk/2017/03/13/antonio-conte-targeting-four-world-class-stars-in-200m-chelsea-spending-spree-6505964/">Reports suggest that Abramovich will provide Conte with £200m to spend in the summer to reinforce his squad for Champions League football. A key part of the re-build or should we say minor tweaks will be built around Hazard as the number 10 at Chelsea.

Additionally, <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2017/04/06/chelsea-fc-5-reasons-eden-hazard-will-stay-blues-next-season/"http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/786052/Antonio-Conte-Chelsea-Roman-Abramovich-Eden-Hazard-football-transfer-news-gossip">reports suggest that Chelsea manager has told Abramovich that he does not want Hazard to be sold.

Abramovich has the money and the influence at the club to persuade the Belgian to stay at Chelsea FC. Abramovich will be very eager to keep his manager happy considering the results he’s produced for Chelsea.

The Russian owner wants to compete for the Champions League next season and would like to even win it. To do that, you can’t sell your best players. Roman will know this and will be prepared to offer Hazard a lucrative new contract to keep him at Chelsea. I believe The Chelsea owner will have a large part in whether Eden goes or stays.

1. His family is ‘settled’ in London

Hazard has recently admitted that his family are happy and settled in London. Hazard has three kids and a wife.

When asked where he could live in retirement, Hazard replied:

“I don’t know, it’s hard to say. Maybe I will live in Belgium, to be close to the family, or else I could go somewhere with nice weather.

“My kids are very settled in London so it could be here, that’s a long way off yet so we will see.”

His eldest of three boys is six-years-old so his kids are young but they have also spent their whole lives essentially in London. Hazard would not want to uproot them to another country just for football reasons.

Hazard <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2017/04/06/chelsea-fc-5-reasons-eden-hazard-will-stay-blues-next-season/"http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/03/12/eden-hazard-antonio-conte-fantastic-privilege-play/">has admitted that his family comes first over football and his decision on football matters would always depend on his family. If his family are settled and happy, his kids in school then why would Hazard want to move them all just for the sake of it?

Football is good but family, close friends, my brothers, I have family everywhere, is the most important thing,” he says.
