Losing Harry Kane is not what Tottenham Hotspur fans want, but it may be what they’re forced to deal with…
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past six years, you’ll know that Harry Kane is one of the finest strikers in the world. Emerging as a youngster under Mauricio Pochettino. Tottenham Hotspur fans dub him as one of their own and he is surely only going to improve in the seasons to come.
However, whether this is at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium remains to be seen. He has been linked with a move away from the London club for many seasons now, with Sport claiming that Real Madrid really wants to get the deal over the line this summer. Consequently, here are three strikers that could replace Harry Kane should he leave Tottenham…
The first name which sprung to mind is Loren Moron, currently playing for Real Betis. According to a recent report from Teamtalk, Moron is one of the main candidates for Spurs in the summer should they lose out on Harry Kane. It’s thought he would set the Lilywhites back around €40m, which is loose change in comparison to the sum they would gain for Harry Kane.
Moron is a tall player that prides himself on his versatility. He is a very quick and powerful player that can score a multitude of goals which is just what Spurs need to replace Kane. Known for his defensive philosophy, Jose Mourinho will feel secure that the goals would still accumulate with Moron as the outlet in the final third.
Don’t be fooled, Spurs would be no morons if they were to sign Moron. Ok, I’ll see myself out.
Onto the next.

<h3>2. Danny Ings (Southampton)</h3>
<p>Now it’s time for the most obvious choice. If you’re not familiar with Moron, then you’ll definitely be familiar with <a href=https://playingfor90.com/2020/04/06/tottenham-hotspur-3-replace-harry-kane/"https://fbref.com/en/players/07802f7f/Danny-Ings?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-%22>Danny Ings</a>. The England international has undergone a renaissance this season with Southampton and he is looking like a new player.</p>
<p>Before the Coronavirus suspension, the Southampton striker had managed an impressive 15 goals, scoring a goal every 134 minutes in the league. This is better than Harry Kane’s record, which stood at a goal every 162 minutes.</p>
<p>Tottenham fans will be very impressed by Ings’ performances this season and Jose Mourinho in particular would have been keeping a keen eye on the former Liverpool man.</p>
<p>Ings is a natural goal scorer. He may not have had the best of times at Liverpool but this was purely down to him not being ready for the role. The resurgence this season proves he is ready to take the next step up and sign for Spurs, if he is needed.</p>
<p>Danny Ings ages at 27, so he is one year older than Kane, but he is only just entering the prime stages of his career. With that being said, it is the perfect time to sign for Spurs and work under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho.</p>
<p>However, if Tottenham really want to splash the cash, they do have other options.</p>
<div class="next-slide slider"> <a class="next-slide-btn" style="background: #0" data-track="shortcode" data-track-action="next-slide-shortcode" href=https://playingfor90.com/2020/04/06/tottenham-hotspur-3-replace-harry-kane/"#"> <span class="title">Next:</span> 3. Mauro Icardi </a>

<h3>3. Mauro Icardi (Inter, on loan at Paris Saint-Germain)</h3>
<p><a href=https://playingfor90.com/2020/04/06/tottenham-hotspur-3-replace-harry-kane/"https://fbref.com/en/players/43b78598/Mauro-Icardi?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-%22>Mauro Icardi</a> is a player for Inter Milan, but one thing’s for sure; he doesn’t want to be an Inter player. Currently on loan at Paris Saint-Germain, the Argentine is loving life as he is the French club’s top goalscorer this season.</p>
<p>However, it’s important to stress he is only on loan and only the Parisian club has the power to make him a permanent player. With it being a known fact they need to let go of a player or two to prevent themselves breaching FFP rules, signing Icardi on a permanent deal could prove problematic.</p>
<p>That said, a Tottenham moving for Icardi is certainly not off the cards. Jose Mourinho is a known advocate of Icardi and his work in the final third would surely be appreciated at Tottenham.</p>
<p>Having dominated Serie A and now gaining experience in Ligue 1, Mauro Icardi is certainly ready for a move to the Premier League. He has been linked on numerous occasions with a move to London, primarily with Chelsea and Arsenal. That said, Mourinho would rub salt into the wounds of the two clubs that dislike him the most.</p>
<p>Icardi will undoubtedly be the most expensive player on this list but he is worth all the money. If Tottenham is looking to invest most of the money they make from Kane’s sale back into the team, which they really should aim to do, then Icardi the option to go for.</p>
