Everything you need to know as Arsenal look to beat Bournemouth

Arsenal travel to the Vitality Stadium on Sunday in order to face Bournemouth. It’s a must-win game as they can’t afford to keep drawing.

You could say Arsenal is in a run of good form. I mean, they’ve not lost for a very long time throughout all competitions. However, since their draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League, they’ve won just one game. Things need to be improved, or they will find themselves falling further and further adrift of the top four.

November has never been a good month for Arsenal.

Unai Emery has fixed a lot of the negatives surrounding Arsenal. He had a successful transfer window, away games are now a breeze and the squad morale has never been higher. However, the dreaded November curse couldn’t be fixed by a miracle, let alone a change of personnel.

They always seem to head into this month with good form but then it crumbles during the month. I suppose a positive this time around is that they are yet to lose a match, so even when things get tough, their unbeaten record remains intact.

Bournemouth are no pushovers.

Perhaps the biggest shock heading into this match is just how close Bournemouth and Arsenal are in the Premier League. Just four points separate them between sixth and fifth, Arsenal taking the fifth-place slot.

That said, Bournemouth will probably be looking at this match as a must-win game too. It’s the perfect chance for them to narrow the gap on the Gunners. Unai Emery’s men must be wary of this.

Arsenal should feel a strong eleven.

There are no significant injuries which will prevent Arsenal from winning this game. Danny Welbeck’s injury could see him sidelined for a while but he wouldn’t have been starting this match anyway. Stephan Lichtsteiner’s injury before the break was nothing serious. Sead Kolasinac will probably retain his place in the XI, there have been no signs of a Nacho Monreal return.

Expect to see the trident of Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette back in action, which is always a frightening sight for the opposition.

Prediction.

Oh look at him, he’s being biased again. In all honesty, I can’t see anything other than an Arsenal victory. They have used the international break to work on their flaws and Unai Emery will be aware of Bournemouth’s strengths. A lot of preparation needs to be done between now and Sunday but the Gunners should grab three points finally.
